The interview is mandatory upon submitting your application to them. It composed of online assessment of your other skills (such as math, problem solving and how you operates under various conditions.)
The second half requires you to record yourself for various questions (mostly behavioral) and this could be done with laptops or even your phone.
Overall it's very time consuming and you need to speak not in front of another person but AI or the camera.
