The interview process overall was a very positive experience. The interviewers asked both high and low level questions, ranging from overall design practices and architecture, to best practices for development, as well as a few brief hands on excersizes

Had 2 interviews one with the recruiter and one with the hiring manager. I think there were supposed to be another 3 rounds after if I passed.
My initial call with the recruiter went really well. She got me really excited about the company and asked such thoughtful questions that made me confident that this company even goes through rigor to hire their recruiters! I was very impressed. Questions like what are your career goals, what is a project you’re most proud of, what is your greatest strength, etc. and a few skill based questions.
I made it through to the next round but for that second round I guess is where I didn’t have the best experience. First off I couldn’t get into the zoom meeting. Not sure if I had the wrong link or if the hiring manager had the wrong link but I tried to let the recruiter know and they never got back to me so I basically sat waiting nearly missing the interview. I tried LinkedIn messaging, calling, emailing. Nothing. I didn’t even have the hiring managers name or email to try and get in touch with them so I felt embarrassed that I was late but it wasn’t my fault. I did get to have the interview but I felt rushed as the manager seemed to be busy and I was already stressed about the initial experience . Our time was cut short but the hiring manager was very nice. But also I guess you could argue if I was right for the job I would have made an impact regardless.
I probably also bombed the assessment. But it only left a sour taste in my mouth that no one ever got back to me just as a courtesy to say I didn’t make it. I don’t think anyone appreciates being ghosted. Or to even apologize for the mix up with the interview to check in after their mistake. I do get they’re probably very busy bc they’re growing and have so many applicants but I think just a quick follow up would have been appreciated. But that could be a new standard now when companies go through a lot of growth and popularity, where it can be tough to let candidates know unless you’re a front runner so I wouldn’t hold that against grin. I think they’re a great company and that was just probably a one off bad personal experience. Everyone seemed very passionate and lovely to work with.

Outside of a few very general engineering questions, a lot were behavioral. Such as tell me about a project your worked on or developed that you were most proud of. Etc

30 minute recruiter screening, and then a 30 minute tech knowledge interview, both through zoom. I was unable to get passed the technical interview.
They give useful feedback! They called me to let me know why I wasn't fit for the job and how I may have a chance in the future. It's better than just getting a rejection email.
