It was great - all done virtually with one in-person meeting at a careers fair. They were very nice and asked direct but answerable questions on motivation, etc. I would just come prepared with reasons why you're interested in international relations and give some background to your previous research work.
Extremely friendly HR team, be prepared to think on your feet when asked questions, some geopolitics related questions, motivation to join the think tank, part of my application process involved a subsequent written test about EU affairs
It was a very straightforward, communicative process. The interviewer was very friendly and welcoming. Relaxed environment made the interview less stressful than most and led to a better conversation to get an idea of whether the role was a good fit for both the hiring manager and candidate.
