9/2 (Sunday) Applied online, which included their personality assessment
9/4 (Tuesday) Received email saying I had 48 hours to email the hiring manager if still interested. When contacted, set phone screen for Thursday
9/6 (Thursday) I had a quick screening call. Recruiter called 15 minutes earlier than expected, which I missed, but I called back shortly. Was told I was moving on, scheduled testing for Friday
9/7 (Friday) Took and passed the assessment. Scheduled interview for Monday
9/10 (Monday) Did Initial In-House Interview, was passed on to the role playing, then shadowed a current worker which was super cool, and then went and spoke to the hiring manager. It was probably going well until the question Where do you see yourself in Geico in 5 years. Despite making it clear I would still like to be working at Geico, I mentioned plans to get a Masters degree that wasn't an MBA or remotely related to anything Geico and that I could potentially transfer. I got the "The hiring managers will look at everything tomorrow morning." and then when I was walked to the front, I was told that they would contact me within the next few days. I know from all the other reviews this means I didn't get the position.
This location is super far from me, but luckily I am unemployed, or making the trek and taking time off would have made me a lot angrier than I am. It is pretty annoying that I made it so far, so I can clearly do the job, but because I don't see myself there long term, or rather still can't BS that question well enough, I didn't get the position. But to be fair, I didn't plan to be there long so it was definitely for the best. Good luck to all you future applicants!
