Hiring Manager screen - mostly behavioral with some hypothetical. Hiring Manager wasn't an actual AI PM practitioner and is trying to build an AI platform with limited deep tech experience. Expect most of the conversation to answer basics on why AI and how to make it better. Ask better questions back to determine whether you see a good fit with a leader that might not understand AI strategy. Ex-Amazon leads do not grill candidates on the usual product sense and execution questions of Meta and Google.

Submitted application online through a referral. HR called for screening. Then asked me to do a business case/road mapping exercise with only one sentence directive (very broad). Submitted my work after doing thorough industry research an putting hours into it. Didn't get any feedback of the work. Never had a chance to talk to the hiring manager. HR later called and said that you are now being considered for a Sr. Manager position .
Horrible experience, complete black box process.
