The first round was a 2hrs of Python coding test which was online. After clearing the coding test, the HR scheduled a face-to-face interview of 3 rounds (on the same day). I finished the first round which was by the Director. I was given a business case study to find the top n% of customers for a particular client. It was more of a debate rather than coming up with an actual correct answer. The round went very well and I was asked to wait for the next round. While I was waiting, I was informed that the person who was supposed to take the 2nd round is busy. This is because my 1st round did not start on time as the interviewer was late (not me). So the HR asked me to leave as they rescheduled the 2nd round and I was told that it will be a telephonic interview as it's a reschedule by the company. I waited for the intimation from the company on the reschedule and when I didn't receive any intimation I called up the HR. Now she says that they have decided to not proceed with my profile. I'm disappointed with one thing. How did the company go from 'Wait for sometime, let me see if the interviewer is available for the 2nd round' to 'Thanks for your time. You are not selected'? And above all, I expect a company to complete all rounds of interview if they have scheduled it that way. In my case, I have not even covered all the rounds I'm supposed to give. They decided to not evaluate me as my 1st round got delayed and the interviewer for the 2nd round got busy. It's just terrible!
