I had it over Skype and it was quite relaxed and good experience. At the beginning we spoke about some personal information, education, current job. Then, it was introduction about job position, Fortinet as a company, what they expect from me etc. After that, we had a technical interview where they were asking me about OSI model, from layer 1 to layer 2, but also some other relevant questions. At the end, we spoke about my expectations from them, about my salary, conditions, further steps and that's it.

I spent more than 20+ hours on 5+ interviews, including a 5 hour take home test and going to their office for 3 consecutive interviews. Then I waited 1.5 months for a rejection without explanation. No respect for our time.

I had interview for the “Technical support Engineer” at Fortinet on Dec 6th 2024.
After first questions, "what is the 7 OSI layers and the sample protocol for each layer", the interviewer told me show him my keyboard, because he felt, I am looking too much bottom of the screen.
then he asked me to share my screen. and he said that I am using chatgpt for cheating. That chatgpt question was VRF leaking related to my task for my current job.
I have more that 15 years experience as a network engineer and consultant. I spent time to pass NSE4 certificate for this role requirement and planned to relocate to Ottawa. the interviewer stop interview easily. The interviewer didn't even turn his webcam.
