      Entrevista

I applied for this position on their website after I saw a job posting on Indeed in mid-late February. I got a call from HR in early March for a phone interview. The phone interviewer was extremely friendly (I imagine I had the same person as mentioned in a previous review, as she tried to make me feel very comfortable). She asked fairly standard questions like how I dealt with difficult coworkers, and to walk her through my resume. I have taken a different path than my major would suggest, so she asked me why Foot Locker, and why this position. At the end of this interview, she asked when I was available to come for an in-person interview. I went in for the in-person interview a week later, and met with five people over three hours. First, I met with the HR woman I had spoken with over the phone, and she again went over the position a bit, made sure I wanted to be there, and asked me a few more questions to help prepare me, as well as giving me some information on the benefits of working at Foot Locker. Next, I met with four people from the department separately. I met two in person, and had conference calls with two over the phone as they were at a different location. Each asked me their own questions depending on what their roles were. For example, this is what you'd be doing with me, how do you feel about your skills in "X, Y, and Z"? I was also asked about Excel/Access skills by almost everyone, because this position is heavily reliant on them. Everyone was very friendly and willing to answer all of my questions. I got a great vibe from the culture, and everyone seemed really excited to work there (even the people who had been there for 5+ years). I couldn't meet with the HR woman as she was busy on my way out, but received a call from her later that day saying everyone had liked me, and asked when I could come in to meet the Director for a second round interview. I met with the Director the next week for about an hour. This interview clearly seemed to be a "let's just do one more test to make sure she's not crazy" interview. The Director only asked a little bit about my experience, as I had gone over it quite extensively with the four people I'd met the week before, but asked more personal questions to make sure I would fit in well. She also spent much of this interview showing me some of the work the department does, and explaining how things work. I received a call the next day verbally offering the position from the initial HR woman pending my background check/reference checks.
