My recent interview experience with Fog Pharma left a lot to be desired. About 45 minutes into the interview, the hiring manager informed me that they had already selected another candidate just an hour before our conversation. While I understand that hiring timelines can shift, it felt disrespectful to continue the process and use my time when a decision had essentially been made. When I expressed some disappointment, the manager asked if this was an issue—a question that felt out of touch with the expectations of professionalism.
Additionally, I’ve heard similar feedback from others who mentioned that parts of the interview process seemed unfocused on relevant job skills, veering instead into questions unrelated to the role. I believe Fog Pharma could benefit from a more respectful and transparent approach, as it would reflect positively on the company’s values and professionalism.

After applying, HR responded within the week. Interview with hiring manager scheduled the following week. This was followed by onsite interview. The overall process was done fairly quickly within 3 weeks.
Thoughts on the company - small startup. Big expectations/ high pressure work environment, not a lot of opportunities for growth. Everyone I interviewed, including the top officials have less than 1.5 years at the company- speaks for high turn-over.
After interview- got offered the position 2 weeks after onsite interview. Low pay for the HCOL. They ask for a non-compete agreement (another huge red flag, personally). Companies usually do this as a scare tactic to make sure you think twice before leaving them.
