Standard interview process. All virtual meetings. Interviewed with recruiter, then hiring manager, then HR representative, and finally a senior management team member. No surprising or unexpected questions, pleasant and comfortable conversation asking questions back and forth. However, final interview with The senior level individual was pretty awkward. He didn't seem prepared for the interview and didn't seem to know what he wanted to ask initially. At one point, he left the interview to go answer his door. He finally asked if I had any questions about the position (which I had many that I wanted to ask) and he gave me an opportunity to ask one question before he wrapped it up by saying he didn't think I had enough manufacturing experience. I, personally, thought I was overqualified for this particular role, but I guess at least I knew where I stood with him. It wasn't a surprise when I did not receive an offer after that interview; however, it was surprising that I didn't at least get a phone call from the recruiter to inform me that they had passed...instead I just received the auto generated email as if I had not spent many hours on these various interviews.
