I graduated from nursing school and was given a job in a civil unit. I then asked for a transfer off night shift to a day shift in another unit, and was moved to the unit. It was closed 7 months later and I was given a choice of units to transfer to. I chose night shift in Forensic. I was there for 24 years when I applied for a job on day shift in another Forensic unit. I was interviewed by the nurse supervisor and three staff nurses. It was a lateral transfer and I was transferred (against the choice of the supervisor, who gave me many problems and caused me a lot of grief while she was there). I retired from this unit.
