The interview process was pretty typical old-fashioned interviewing style. First there was a telephone screening with someone from HR. Then an interview in the branch with the manager and the senior operations services supervisor. Questions were largely situational in nature. Things like, 'tell me about a time you handled a mistake in your business'. It felt more about finding generally acceptable answers to interview questions than about getting to know the individual applicant.

Two employees interviewed me for a $11/hr teller position. They asked if I had any cash handling experience and I said I had worked at a coffee shop and used the register and counted down the drawer at the end of the day. They kind of looked at each other and laughed. I felt like I was being mocked for not having what they considered “good enough” cash handling experience. I would argue the teller position is entry level and they shouldn’t expect someone willing to accept that rate of pay to have years of experience.

Very easy going I really enjoyed it and although I was nervous all went well. I definitely would recommend people to study more about banking interview questions, so they get a better understanding of how all works and what salary they can base on.
