I have been in Management for over 15 years and interviewed for this position as a last resort. I knew going into it I was WAY over qualified but had no idea until I actually got there. I was interviewed by the assistant manager who had no idea what he was doing. He asked me the same question through the 15 minute process and even complained about customer situations. He had no idea how they came up with goals other than "They come from the computer but I dont what its called, We mainly let the manager handle that" WOW!!! Im sure for a beginning job in retail this might be okay but I was SO turned off by his lack of knowledge and enthusiasm for his own job!! Why do you want to work here versus Champs"

My first interview with the store manager was quite simple. More of a proper introduction and little small talk. 2nd Interview with the DM was much more down to the point. The interview lasted about an hour, while the questions that I answered were based off situational events in the past. Left with sweaty palms after that one.

Easy simple, met the DM and had a walk through about what the position entails. The DM asked me at the time which was a while ago, what I wanted to do in the future to see if I had manager of a store potential.

Received a invitation to apply for the position they indeed. Once I applied I received a email from the store manager 2 days later asking me what day and time did I have available to interview. I selected my interview time date, once in the interview he asked me the Corporate questions that he had to ask but we had more of a conversation more than anything. It was a great interview, and he also offered me the position immediately. After I accepted the offer it took almost a week to do the background check. It’s nothjng I had to do it was everything the manager had to do on his end. So my first offical start date is actually 08/17/2018.
