I was contacted by the hiring manager via phone and spoke for about 5 mins then scheduled an interview-person. The interview went well & over time which usually means it was a good conversation. The hiring manager was likable & passionate about the business he co-built, however, it was shared to me that they had a lot of gaps in handling personnel matters, setting structures & maintaining them, training managers, and talent retention, and morale. The HR clerk role was for entry and probationary purposes for 3-6 months and then once the selected person has proven themselves they can have a conversation about leadership title and salary.
