      Zoom interview in-person with the CTO, which went OK. Then a technical test from Mettl, which was a mess. It asked for way too much personal info, including bizarre questions about age and gender. The options to which were: "Male / Female / Transgender" Unless the shape of someone's genitals is relevant to their coding ability in a way I hadn't previously been aware of, the latter question simply wasn't appropriate. It also suggests that trans people are some third type of human being, separate from male and female. While that might fly if you were having a boozy chat with JK Rowling, it won't in today's climate. When I asked about their bizarre and seemingly-discriminatory questions, the company said it was nothing to do with them. It was the fault of the India-based testing company they use. Which is even more concerning since it suggests a lack of ownership / responsibility. You guys picked the testing company. You're responsible for any discrimination they do on your behalf. Bullet dodged.
