Four rounds of interviews. I was selected as a "final" candidate with one other top candidate. The recruiter gave me tons of positive feedback and told me the hiring leader was trying to figure out how he could offer me and the other candidate a role. A few days later I received an offer from another company and reached out to the recruiter. Expedia was my top choice, so I was hoping they would make a decision and give me an offer. Instead, I got silence. No response. Almost a week later I get an email asking me to interview for another position under the same leader. They were hoping that the other top candidate and I would interview for both roles, then put each of us in one of the positions. This was incredibly off-putting and crippled my interest. I already waited over 2 weeks for Expedia to make a decision, and then they wanted to put me through another round of interviews for a position I was not interested in. At this point I turned down any opportunity to continue forward.
