My interview experience with this company was very disappointing. It felt like nothing had changed from my previous experience with them a couple of years ago. Their policy on turning cameras on is unclear: I was expected to turn mine on, but the interviewers didn’t bother to do the same. This created an awkward and uncomfortable atmosphere right from the start.
The biggest issue was the interviewers’ complete lack of interest and preparation. They had no idea who I was or why they were interviewing me, and they even admitted at the end: “We won’t answer your questions about the project because we don’t know anything about it.” If they don’t know the project, what’s the point of asking me random questions?
Speaking of questions, the entire session was just a boring list of generic ones pulled from websites like “top Ruby interview questions.” There was no connection to the actual role or project, which made the 90-minute interview feel pointless and frustrating.
On top of that, the recruiter and interviewers were disrespectful and often passive-aggressive, sometimes even outright rude. The lack of professionalism and basic courtesy was shocking.
I would not recommend applying here unless they make serious changes to how they handle recruitment and interviews.
