      Worst experience ever. Never have I ever experienced a situation where I was offered the first interview from HR. And then 12 hours later the following day, I receive an email from hr saying they have to cancel the meeting because the hiring team have now reviewed all applications and have decided to progress with other candidates and revoked the interview offer I had! It's only been a day since the job advert had gone out. And you would think they would have reviewed all applications before handing out interviews! The only explanation for this is this is surely decided on grounds of bias/judgement/discrimination but obviously they aren't going to admit this. That's the only viable explanation for this approach since I have had no response back from any of them or higher up. This is obviously reflects badly on the company being perceived as a toxic culture if they have no respect and you should only apply if you're very desperate.

      Thank you for sharing your feedback. I understand this experience has been frustrating, and I apologise for the misalignment on our end. In this instance, the people team and the hiring team were not fully aligned on certain key requirements for the role, which we should have been. As soon as we realised this, we contacted you to cancel the screening rather than proceed with a call that might not have been the best use of your time. To address a couple of your concerns: Decisions at each stage of our hiring process are based solely on suitability for the role and alignment with key requirements, and we apply these standards consistently with every candidate. Regarding communication, we aim to respond in a timely and respectful manner, allowing time for thoughtful consideration of all of the facts. I believe we have met this standard in this instance. I also want to emphasise our commitment to respectful, constructive communication, and I ask that we keep our exchange professional.
