Spoke with a recruiter via phone, then the hiring manager via phone. Everyone was very friendly and it seemed like a great fit. They flew me to NY for the on-site interview, where I met with 6 people throughout the course of the day. Everyone was very engaged and welcoming and I had a great experience.
Unfortunately, the next day they told me the role I was being considered for had been filled by an internal transfer, and that they loved me and were trying to find another role. It took them an entire month to get back to me (with me checking in every week or so) because they were so disorganized. Ended up telling me that they couldn't find anything, but they would reach out when something was available. They never reached out.

How would you approach launching Etsy in a new market (France)?
Call with Etsy recruiter followed by an hour long call with the hiring manger. Did not hear anything back for 5 weeks. Recruiter reached out and said they wanted to go to next step. Had 4 interviews and then no word for 3 more weeks. Etsy states their goal is to keep commerce human but apparently they aren't trying at all to keep the hiring process human.

Recruiter was very accessible and asked genuine questions about experience, why interested in role and company etc. There was significant delay in getting a clear update on next steps after multiple follow ups.

Recruiter screen, hiring manager interview, and then onsite. Recruiters are GREAT and so are all the other people. Hiring manager interview was mostly behavioral, plus a mini case (typical q like "design x for y") and onsite was 90% behavioral except an mini analytics case.
