I was contacted by a recruiter, I was asked to complete a pre-recorded video interview. I'm completely comfortable with video interviews but I know it's not everyone's thing. I was flown to HQ's and interviewed with 4 people, afterwards I had 2 different phone interviews. This process was extremely long and draining and I honestly lost interest in the position. This probably took a total of a month and a half! There was no communication from the recruiter until I reached out 2 times, I did invest a lot of time after all and I wanted answers. I was later told that they were meaning to get back to me but they forgot (really professional and greatly appreciated, it's not like I took time off of my schedule for these countless interviews) and that the position was filled. What's more confusing is that the person I would directly be working aka the head of the department said that the job was mine in my interview and that the recruiter would be reaching out. Although I do appreciate that the recruiter let me know what the decision was. However, I don't appreciate that I had to personally reach out especially knowing that I spent over a month on this process. I do wish them well with their decision but I wish they would've handled things a little differently than they did.
