Friendly panel, asked me to introduce myself and 3 capability questions over MS Teams. Then hung up after 45 mins and I was emailed a PDF with several scenarios related to the role. I had to choose one, answer the questions on a word document and then email them back within 1hr 15 mins. I had no previous experience in this area and the job specification did state that this was not required, just relevant professional skills so I really struggled with the technical assessment.

The interview questions were the same as the questions asked at application stage and were in the job specification, I was unaware that the same questions would be asked in the interview.

Entrevista
Friendly interviewers but very much a box ticking hiring process which takes several weeks (or months) to get through each step. I applied online in typical civil service (STAR) format. Disappointed the interviewers did not read my CV, application or cover letter for the interview but unsure if they have access to them. It seems unfair you are expected to put in so much effort to the application if they don't. Very clinical approach to the role/ interview process. Might as well not give any personality to your interview as they just have to hear certain buzzwords and points for you to get through which inevitably means you may have someone who appears well qualified in the interview, 'saying the right thing' who gets an offer rather than someone who actually is a better fit but doesn't fit a standard assessment.
The interview ended with a technical assessment which included topics which were not stated as a requirement for the role (said training would be provided).

The interview process was done over MS Teams and initially was to feature a three-member panel, but I got two. They were very calm and explained further when I did not understand some stuff. Also, the process started with the usual tell us about yourself questions. Then they moved to scenario-based questions, which they sent over the phone during the application stage (but did not specify that they would ask them later) and also sent during the interview confirmation stage. Interview Format The interview will last for 2 hours The interview will be done in two stages, a capability assessment, and a technical assessment The capability assessment will last 45 minutes You will have 1hr 15 minutes for the technical assessment The capability assessment will be done via MS team’s video call They asked questions about the following capabilities: Capability 1 – Takes Decisions & Solves Problems Capability 2 – Coaches others Please see the below linked capability dictionary for definitions of the listed capabilities Capability dictionary.doc (live.com)
