I had a quick screening interview. They stated that they were looking for someone with a shorter commute, although I mentioned it would not be a problem for me. They continued to schedule an online interview with me. The morning of, I was informed that a very close family member had passed. I emailed to inform them, reschedule and thanked them for their understanding. Later that day they called to say they were going to cancel the interview because they "changed their mind about being comfortable with my commute." They were clearly less understanding than I assumed.
