I am not sure if it is meant by the HR or the CEO, but it made my day. Also, the HR said a lot of things that I think they were discrimination against visa holders, like "We are paying local Canadians $50K, LOCAL CANADIANS. How do you want us to pay someone with a work permit (like you) that high".
