Quite unprofessional. It felt more like it was done for the sake of doing it. I had applied through hirist. I was called randomly, and asked if it was a good time (I would have appreciated if they had mailed me ahead, regarding their 1 shot recruitment question). It was a good time for informational basis, but the context was not set for the part that a very random technical question, which was enough for them to pass a judgement. (I refused to answer the question though i knew the answer, simply because, I wasn't informed of this random context, and mind you there was no JD, no company description) I was taking this call on with headphones. At the end i was told, they'll update me. I knew this before hand because the said person, didn't even wait for the call to get completed. Before the call had ended, I already got a mail from hirist, saying that Elanic has marked me as "not suitable".
