10 step process:
Hardest parts are the business plan and the virtual assessment
All about showing that you put the client first. Prioritize correctly and I don't think you should run into any problems.
There are like 2-3 phone calls, a face to face interview, a business plan you have to submit, and a virtual "day in the life" assessment.
Phone Calls are pretty simple, just be honest and demonstrate that you understand the job duties and show a commitment to client service
Face to Face interview they go over the compensation plan a bit, and you can ask questions about the training. I actually cant remember any questions they asked outside of the typical : name a time when you overcame a challenge? or Name a time when you had a disagreement with a co-worker and what you did? I digress, I recommend that you ask as many questions as you have here so you can truly understand the job and the training program.
Business Plan: Honestly this was a little nerve wracking. You have to essentially explain a basic plan for how to build a book of business. Use the internet and any resources available to you. Asking an advisor you know or interviewed with can be extremely helpful. You also have a phone call after this step to go over it with someone and basically make sure you didnt just copy paste anything from the web.
Virtual Day in the Life: Pretty much you spend 3.5-4 hours doing the job. I don't want to get into specifics but basically its important that you are sure you are putting your clients needs before anyone else while also trying to contact as many prospects as possible per day. Basically what you would hope to do when you start the actual job.
All in all the process takes a pretty long time (1.5-2 months) but is very helpful in informing you on the job and explaining everything. I took an offer from a smaller firm but EJ did not make the decision easy.

Interview process first consists of numerous dinner events, all very laid back where you get to learn more about the company and the advisors in the region, and they get to learn more about you. If you keep getting invited back to dinners, consider it progress in the interview process. Honestly, the best, most effective interview process.

it's a series of interviews with people in the office then a full-day of simulating the role of the advisor where you're receiving calls from clients and team mates as well as receiving emails. As a career-changer, this was the part of the interview phase where I realized Edward Jones wasn't the right start to my career as a financial advisor and ended up going somewhere that invested in my growth rather than a "sink or swim" type of place.

Interview process is very lengthy. 6 steps, very in depth. HR screening, in person interview, 1 year plan, day in the life role play (3 hours long) where you had to call actors who were playing clients and prospects
