Assessment day which involved approx 60 people. Not guaranteed interview. Only five were chosen through to interview process. Given 2 tasks within a group with a manager sat at your group table. Asked to devise a Valentine’s Day menu and each present a part of it. Asked what to spend a budget on wisely due to customer demand with a fact sheet given. Each person in group presented choice and facts to why chosen

Entrevista
I applied March 2023. Firstly, once my application got accepted I had to do a video interview. They ask you three questions, which you have around one minute to answer. You have about three seconds to think of an answer. Then after getting shortlisted from this video interview, you are invited to a hotel to take part in a group interview and a one on one interview with the managers. We were spilt into two groups and our first task was a group scenario of if we were abandoned on an island, what would we do. During this group task, we had two managers sitting on opposite sides of the table taking notes and scoring on everyone’s team work skills etc. Then we had to present to the managers and the other team on what we discussed. The annoying thing about this task was that other people talk over you to try to impress the managers. However, the person who was talking over me didn’t get through, so don’t talk over people and let everyone in your group have an input! Then we had another group task where we had a list of skills and narrowed down to 10-11 skills which are important and why within the role of a customer host. Then lastly, we had an one on one interview with the managers, where they gave us a question, gave us three seconds to think of answer and two minutes to answer the question. I found this challenging as my mind went blank as we were being timed. (After I realised it was important to use the STAR approach to these questions). There was 12 of us and 6 of us went through and the other 6 went home. Was a bit like X factor. Someone in my group said he previously had an interview with EMR where they had to build a marshmallow tower with their groups. I guess EMR try to be creative with their interviews. The interview was a bit challenging. I was glad when it was over.

Entrevista
Interview process involved first video interview and then an assessment day where if you passed the assessment you got a final interview. Almost impossible process to pass for people with anxiety problems as you are also required to present to the room your opinions of the group task and this is in front of approximately 20 other candidates and 10 assessor. There is no room for nerves, so people like myself with a nerve disposition don't stand a chance. I did however complete the morning assessment but knew my nerves had let me down. This was confirmed when I was told yet again that I did not make the interview
