I've applied and interviewed for two positions over the past year. I have an internal reference and met all minimum and most preferred qualifications. They typically take a long time to respond and never to interview follow ups directly - only if you're invited to the next step. The initial interview is strange in that the person conducting the interview doesn't seem interested in the candidate and only asks 2-3 questions. Interviews two and three also seemed unprepared and uninterested on their part with no questions tailored to my resume or history - just standard broken record questions. Additionally, I had to take the same test twice, one online and one in person. (To ensure I didn't cheat, maybe?) The only good thing that I can say is at least they have always told me the verdict - even if it's 1+ month later.
