I had a phone screen with the recruiter. I have had several interviews with startups and established companies in my life but this was the most unprofessional one I have had yet. For starters, the recruiter did not call me at the scheduled time and only replied to my note 5 hours later to say "she was caught up in other things". I was flexible during that week so I offered several times when we could talk. She only replied the day that she ended up calling me to say that she will call me in a few hours. When I talked to her, the questions were pretty basic about my background and skills and she gave me a rehearsed speech on the position (which I don't think she understood quite what it was). She sounded incredibly disengaged throughout our conversation and did not really ask any other questions. Their response time was pretty quick, the next day I got an email that they would be moving on with other candidates. I followed up with them to get some feedback and to my surprise their feedback was on that they felt I was lacking the one skill that is actually the strongest one in my resume, supported by job roles and degrees - I don't know if they just picked a random excuse instead of provide me with actual feedback or if they ever even bothered to read my resume but the overall experience was quite unpleasant and gave off a very "sloppy" vibe about the company.
