Entrevista
I learned a lot about the company during the on-site interview. It’s completely different than the interview with HR, Manager, and the hiring Manager. The interviews, via phone, went extremely well, but the job description did not quite match the actual role.
The process was extremely long taking over two months to get everything scheduled and to have a one-on-one onsite interview. For the on-site interview, I was prepped to interview with five (5) interviewers, but a week prior to the interview it changed to seven (7) interviewers at 30 minutes each for a total of 3.5 to 4 hours of round robins.
I love the product that they offer, but one interviewer admitted that the challenge is that they don’t use their own product and that they have a huge lack of communication. That was shown throughout the interview as only three (3) of seven (7) people actually viewed (skimmed) my resume. With that said, it’s hard to explain over 20 years of experience, starting from scratch, in 30 minutes while answering questions questions.
Not once was I offered anything to drink or a break. This came as a surprising being that it was going to be at least 3.5 hours.
They seemed to hone in on my current role rather my entire experience; I assume because my resume wasn’t reviewed. They were interviewing several candidates on the same day for different roles and each interviewer seemed exhausted and unprepared.
I would be interested in working here in the future, but it does seem like a very chaotic organization. The information gained from the interviews directly speak to the organization of the teams you’d be working with and/or for.
I completely understand why I did not get the position, though some explanations we “strange” to say the least, but I feel that a male leader is what they were looking for.
Diversity is a strong requirement for me. While everyone seemed nice, I immediately noticed a lack of diversity which is a surprise being located in Downtown Seattle.
I do want to commend the Talent department has they were very organized and informative. They kept me apprised every step of the way. They do an excellent job in representing the company and organizing the travel arrangements and schedules.
