The company reached out via LinkedIn. In the interview it became apparent that they didn't have a concrete profile yet, and mentioned we would find out during the interview which team or which role might be a fit. This could be a good approach, but in this case I felt this makes any discussions very hard. Not knowing which team or product I would be working on, or in which capacity, felt a bit strange. I would expect them to know before the interview, if they need a head of product, or a lead PM, or any PM at all for a given product or not. We didn't move on to the second round.

Screening call with recruiter, meet the hiring manager and then meet the team. Take home a case study to work on for a couple of days and then meet to present it and get last questions in.
