Quite a long interview process that took well over a month, and more than two full days of work: 1. Introductory call with talent manager. 2. Call with hiring manager. 3. Take home assignment (mine was about 5pgs long, and included mockups/wireframes) 4. Follow-up call with hiring manager. 5. 6hr "in-person" interview with a large panel including folks from marketing, engineering, and analytics (mine was video on Discord because the team is currently remote). 6. Follow-up 1hr interview with additional panel member. Discord was proactive and transparent throughout, and I felt it was a generally positive (if VERY long and involved) process. Some additional steps (final interview with additional panel member) were added to the process, so be aware that what you're told in the beginning is just a framework that may be changed along the way. The only serious negative is the length and amount of effort put in - this process can, and should be streamlined. It's really not fair to a candidate to expect 5 weeks of their time (this seems like the fastest this process could have possibly taken) and several full days of work. I was rejected after the final stage by phone, and appreciated not getting a form-letter after such a long and involved process. I was told that there was not a specific better candidate, but the interview process would continue with new candidates.
