I was contacted by one of their corporate recruiters (06/10) about a resume that I submitted several days prior. This gentleman told me that I had everything in my background that he was looking for and wanted me to know that he needed someone very quickly. He suggested emailing background check documents to me and I agreed to turn them around just as fast. They never came. Phone calls went unanswered. Emails went unanswered. Finally, a meeting was arranged for the following week. Scheduling was a concern being that he traveled a lot and I lived several hundred miles away. i scheduled the time off and this guy cancels at the last minute with promises of rescheduling the following week. The same thing happens. We reschedule, I set up time off, and this guy cancels at the last minute again. Finally, several weeks later another date was set. I arrived at the facility and was given a quick "confidentiality" speech to inform me that I would be replacing the current supervisor on duty and I was to "go along with" the lie that I was interviewing for another facility so as to not jeopardize the integrity of the person currently holding the position. After this meeting, I was told to expect an answer in a week. I never received that answer. It took several rounds of unanswered emails and calls to get a "no thank you" response. I would have NEVER taken that job but it just got to be a real comedy act after a while and a point of contention between my wife and I about if and when I would get a response. Never mind that I had a few hundred dollars of out-of-pocket expense in traveling all over and missing several days of work trying to bend over backwards for this guy. Complete CLASS-LESS organization.
