I had to write to the Head of Content with my CV to proceed to the next stage of the application. Since this is a copy-heavy role, they asked to provide a written sample. On approval of the sample, they scheduled a phone interview. It was supposed to be an informal interview to discuss the role further. Unfortunately, the recruiter was unable to get through to the number provided and we rescheduled. The same issue prevailed at our second appointment. I followed up via email 5 minutes into our call time asking whether they would like me to call instead, in case they were having issues getting through. However, I received a short email that the recruiter could not get through and had other calls for the day. This was not the expected response, especially since there was enough time to have the phone interview within our scheduled call time which was still not over. It is also to be noted that the recruiter refused to have a conversation through any other mode of communication, call the alternate number provided or provide their contact number.
