I was approached by a recruiter who found my Cv on an online site (or LinkedIn - I still don't know). They put my name forward after talking to me and I was then asked to do a mechanical competency test. This test was very straightforward and shouldn't take anyone more than 20 minutes to prepare for. I then did a video interview and was later invited for an in-person interview.
