The whole process took 8 weeks. I was originally contacted by a recruiter in early April 2025. Initial call with the recruiter was easygoing, though she didn't seem to have a clear outline of the interview process. I was told "depending on who is available" it would be anywhere between 2-4 interviews. I was told I was a great fit but it took nearly 4 weeks to get an interview with the Hiring Manager, then they cancelled the day of but we rescheduled. I was told by this manager there would be "1-2 more interviews" dependent on availability, again. Overall, this interview went well and I was told by the recruiter later that day that I would move to the next round, which would be a Panel Interview. I tried to keep my availability open as the first interview took a few weeks to secure, and the recruiter was aware and kept apologizing for the delay in scheduling. In the end I ended up being told that the job posting is being closed because they want to outsource to the Philippines. This felt contradictory to my interview, in which I was told the team was specifically seeking an US-based employee due to the time difference conflicts with the Philippine employees since they technically work night shift. Maybe this decision was beyond anyone's control, but it was rather disappointing for this to drag on for 8 weeks just for there to be a decision to outsource.
