I interviewed for a position at Delta Defense in a process that took 11 weeks. During that time, I slipped through the cracks more times that I can recount and was lied to on several occasions about when the company would get back to me with their decision. By the time I made it to my (second) final interview, I was 8 weeks into the process and was told that I would hear their final word the next day. Two follow up emails and three weeks later, I received an automated “no-reply” email letting me know the position had been closed and that they simple wouldn't be hiring anyone. After building relationships with several members in the company and going along with their process for several months, it was surprising to me that at least the recruiter wouldn’t take the time to reach out personally. While disappointing to waste so much of my time and energy going through a five-part interview process, it comes as some consolation that I won’t be working for a company that preaches about honesty while lying repeatedly, and that has these kind of organization, communication, and decision making skills. While I am fully on board with the mission at Delta Defense, and while I know from my interviews that they have a few really great people, I encourage you not to waste your time here. There are plenty of other organizations who do the same work and treat prospective employees so much more respectfully.
