I interviewed for 2 different jobs, both titled as architect. Two interviews each, video interview, phone, and face to face. Most of the interviewers were contractors, not employees. Key decision maker in both jobs was titled as "Principal". In both cases, the Principal had no technical education and no technical experience prior to their role at Delta. Although the job description pitched the role as a senior one, the questioning was more entry level in nature. Both jobs revolved around a theme of fixing severe performance problems, which apparently the organization is having severe trouble with. Based on what I gathered, they outsourced significant portions of their IT development over several years, which has resulted in very poor performing systems riddled with problems that they are struggling to fix. Most employees have little or no computer science/engineering training or education, and the company relies on contractors for expertise. Interview questions were easy but I didn't want the role.
