Unprofessional Interview Experience I was approached by the HR team via LinkedIn regarding an open position. After discussing my current and expected salary, we agreed to schedule a virtual interview for a part-time role. The interview was set for 9:00 PM, but no one joined from their side. I waited and then reached out to HR on LinkedIn; however, I only received a reply much later around 11:00 PM, asking to reschedule. HR then proposed 9:00 AM the next day, which I couldn’t accommodate and requested a different time. My main concern is the lack of professionalism in the interview process. If my current or expected salary was an issue, it should have been communicated transparently from the start—instead of wasting time and rescheduling interviews at odd hours. Candidates deserve clarity and respect, regardless of their compensation expectations. Please avoid taking it personally if a candidate’s salary is higher than your budget; simply communicate your position honestly. Overall, my experience with the interview process was disappointing and felt disorganized. I hope the company improves their communication and respect for candidates’ time in the future.
