30 minute screening with a recruiter. The recruiter was friendly and asked relevant questions to assess whether I would be a good fit (albeit at a fairly non-technical level). I was informed that I would be added to the queue for a technical interview and this is when the trouble began. There were several delays to the original timeline for scheduling an interview, and I was then informed that they were unable to hire remotely in my country. This came as a surprise they claim on their website that, "We hire great talent, no matter where it resides and we strive to create a unified employee experience." This is a lie.
The recruiter claimed to be unaware of the policy not to hire from my country. There is no excuse not to be aware of this and it would have saved us both a lot of time.
