Entrevista
The interview started with very standard "tell me about a time you've done x" style questions which felt quite rushed.
The majority of the interview time seemed to be taken by a very bizarre roleplay based questions based around "we want you to help us build a swimming pool". I understand the point of this question , to evaluate how people approach new problems, but I know half a dozen very talent software engineers in Edinburgh who have sat this interview and never made it past this stage.

Entrevista
- 30 minute Technical interview - Scenario based
- 20 minute MCQ Coding test - Reasonably easy, and the AI guides you.
- 1.5 hour Technical and Values interview - Pair programing and common behavioural questions
Reasonably smooth interview process. Great people to talk to, engineers were clearly experienced and knew what they were looking for.
Downside was that it was often a week between stages without communication.
Was offered a solid remote-first position with full visa fee coverage which is rare & generous. Salary was on the low end of market rate.
Ended up accepting another offer.

Given this scenario, what would you ask about it? (Talk me through requirements gathering though process)
The process began with a 30-minute introductory call. This wasn't with a recruiter but directly with a Dayshape developer. It combined standard behavioral questions with a live roleplay scenario to test real-time problem-solving and communication skills
