First was the HR screening call. Asked basic details about my experience, explained about the role, expected compensation. It was a 15 min call, post which the recruiter moved me to the Hiring Manager round.
Hiring Manager: It was a good discussion about my current experience, expectations from the prospective job. The round went very well, and I was told the recruiter will be reaching out to me for the next step, which was a hands-on assessment based on Spark.
Weeks went by, I reached out to the recruiter they said the further process will take place post the holiday season (the process had started a week before Christmas).
It was January, I reached out again. This time I get an automated response saying they won't be moving forward with my application.
I was expecting a bit more transparency from a company like Databricks.
Generic questions about the profile, experience. I guess they are looking for specialist ins specific areas rather than generalists. They asked me about specific data areas expertise in data and analytics spce

Entrevista
The interview process is long, but very well organized and fair. The expectations for each interview are communicated clearly and every interviewer was very polite and honest. If I had to design an interview process in the future I would use the process I went through here as a template.

The interview questions are very fair. you do not need previous knowledge of databricks to pass, but review concepts on data science/ML, big data, data management, cloud and programing skills with python/sql.
