A colleague from work had started his own business while working as a consultant at the advertising agency I started working at during my optional practical training. I got to know him at work and he offered me a full-time job with his consultancy. I accepted the job offer and with the help of a recruiter from my parent consulting company we ended up creating a job for myself working as a consultant. However, it was short-lived and the visa process was not completed successfully as the colleague didn't have a lawyer.
