A recruiter in Tempe, AZ named Terri Moore called me about a team lead position that she was interested in talking with me about. We discussed the position and decided to move forward with an interview with a manager. About a week I interviewed with what I thought was a manager to discuss the team lead position. We spent the next 45 minutes going through interview questions which did not seem leadership focused at all. At the end of this interview, I discovered I had been interviewing with a supervisor for a customer service representative position, not the team lead position. When I advised him that I was contacted for a team lead position as well as had the interview set up with a manager, it was for a team lead role. He had no idea and seemed embarrassed. So I called Terri back and of course she did not call me back. Now keep in mind the week before my interview, we had several back and forth e-mails about the position and clarifying it was in fact a team lead position. I was not shocked Terri did not call me back as she knew she was pulling a bait and switch. Two days later a "senior recruiter" named Lindsay called me apologizing for the misunderstanding and advised that they do not actually hire from the outside of the company for team leads or supervisor positions (even though they post externally for them). She told me that if you can just join as a customer service rep you would only need to wait 6 months to apply for a team lead role. Then knowing all along what I was currently making at my company and what my salary expectations were, she offered me $14.50 an hour. Not only was this an insult, but not even remotely close to what I was making or in line with other customer service jobs in this area. I would stay very clear of this company. Not only do they waste your time and pull a bait and switch, the pay is very low and the benefits (as she sent me the info) are extremely expensive if you cover anyone other than yourself. Just a heads up on my experience.
