I was an internal candidate. I submitted my résumé and spoke with an external recruiter. After waiting for a while, then after prompting, the hiring manager set up an interview with them and another colleague. A few weeks later I interviewed with the hiring manager and their supervisor, and after that with HR for an "equity talk". Three weeks later I was rejected with no explanation.
