I had a quick phone interview with the talent acquisition partner. She asked me some typical interview questions. However, there was one question that threw me off. I use R during my internship and coursework. She asked me the type of functions I use in R, and R was not mention on the job description. I didn't get a chance to ask her a bunch of questions after I elaborated on the question about R. A few days later, I received a rejection email. I was expecting a question about Excel, but she didn't ask me that.
