I was able to get an interview through an employee who is high up in the company. I was then "coached" on what to say for the interview with this employee-so I was thinking that my odds were really good on getting to the next round of interviews. But the day of the interview I received a different HR person, not the one that I was recommended to with a huge recommendation...the interview seemed fine to me but after a few weeks of silence my employee referral found out that I did not have enough experience, which is their way of saying we don't like you I guess.
Advice: be prepared for typical HR questions, and always say you want to be an agent no matter what and make them BELIEVE it. They get tons of college grad hopefuls who have no intention of being an agent so if you lead them to believe you don't want to stay there for the long haul they will likely axe you. I was referred by someone who works at CAA. I went through about three stages, first a casual phone call conversation with HR, a zoom with someone from mailroom, then a in person interview with head of mailroom.

Know your favorite writers, directors, movies, etc. They will quiz you on what you know about the agency and your favorite ppl in the industry. Come prepared with questions as well to demonstrate your interest

Two interviews. The first one is very informal and chill, the second one is more formal but lasts very little, about 15 minutes. They ask you why CAA if you want to be an agent, and then basic interview questions.
