Applied through a referral link from a friend who is a professor at one of Adtalem’s universities. I had a screening call with HR and a video call with the hiring manager. Initially the process moved along nicely and communication was straightforward and positive. From that point I was ghosted. I eventually received an email from HR stating they had been out of the office for a few weeks due to a private issue (completely understandable). I was told there would be follow up shortly. When there wasn’t I sent another email after a week and was told the position would resume hiring after the holidays. I followed up once again after the new year and received no communication in return. I heard such positive things from my friend who works for this company but had quite the opposite experience. I would recommend HR provide transparent communication to its candidates, even if it’s a rejection. It’s all just part of the process and is much better to receive a rejection than the disrespect of no answer at all.
