Applied online, got a request for a phone interview a week later. Had phone interview a few days after that. The appointed time came but HR was nowhere to be seen. Then I receive an email asking to reschedule for an hour later, which I accepted. Fast forward to an hour later and recruiter was MIA. Then another email shortly after asking if I had supplied the right number (I provided the best number to reach me at in the Calendly invite, my resume, and my application on Cossette's website itself). Eventually finally managed to connect and recruiter mentioned how she was trying to get a hold of me...at the wrong number. Despite the fact I've given the correct one multiple times. Miscommunication aside, what surprised me was how they didn't seem very knowledgable about the industry. You would think that after interviewing hundreds of candidates for various ad positions that you'd have a grasp of the shorthand/jargon used in said position and ask the right questions. She seemed unsure about what kind of digital campaigns she wanted me to talk about (programmatic advertising is so different from web development projects, but both arguably digital in nature). Other than that, it was a pretty standard interview. Got the rejection email a week later. Everyone knows that Cossette's reputation suffered in recent years but I honestly thought things would've improved by now. Judging by the Glassdoor reviews however, it seems like not much has changed at all.

It was in depth, and lasted multiple rounds. It overall felt like overkill for the job role. I wasn’t impressed by their recent accomplishments, and it felt like they were in a rush to hire someone at any cost.
