The process consisted of numerous stages including remote video calls and two rounds of challenges to be worked on offline. The process was not outlined like this to me in the beginning and it seemed like the company made up the rounds as we went on. For the challenge to be worked on offline, I received two options that were described very minimal. One was about improving their product and the other one, which I picked and handed in a proposal for, was about a seemingly unrelated product idea. The company asked for very specific revisions on my proposal (dark mode instead of light mode, less text) to "simulate client feedback" My last interview (after the challenge and it's revision) was rescheduled twice, the second time without notifying me. Excuses were made and the final round finally happened. In this call I faced the client, a representative from a partner company and one company employee. The CEO, even though invited, was missing without notice. The client asked all the questions, he seemingly assumed I already knew about his project idea, which I didn't. His project was almost identical to the design challenge, which I had handed in a proposal and a revision for. My last round of video calls was a free client consultation rather than an interview. The company's employee that was present didn't intervene or clarify to the client where I stand. Overall the interview process was long, interrupted by the company's busy schedule, not well planned and not transparent. It was most importantly extremely disrespectful of my time and skill.
