Long process with multiple steps - writing samples (2), interviews (4), final presentation. At the time, the process seemed extensive but having been at the company a while I see the value in each step. On a small team, the culture fit and skills fit are really important. The upside of a long process is an opportunity to get to know a large portion of the team and really explore culture fit.

short writing test, in person interviews followed by a timed 1 hour writing test and then a final presentation. had a chance to get to know different people in the office which gave a better picture of the culture, but the process is long and depending on availability can take from 3-6 weeks.
